Robin Kester

Did we post more Dutch Christmas songs this year than ever? It feels that way. Here's the zenith of Hollandse kerstliedjes of 20202, the Christmas peak to top it all off: a BEAUTIFUL song made by bright young hope Robin Kester. It's dreamy, it's tender, it's comforting like a woolen sweater. Robin (find more about her HERE) wrote the song for the Into the Great Wide Open festival (that, of course, did not have a 2020 edition).
I love this line: 'Mom brought you a small Christmas tree/but it’s not the same when you’re alone, in front of a tv'. There are no bells in this song, but this line is the 'ting', the 'ding-dong' in the song if you catch my drift.
