SABERTOOTH UNICORN, or as we like to say around the Christmas A Go Go offices, 'THE TOOTH', is the one band that can only be mentioned here in all caps. We're dedicated followers ever since their Hail Santa EP dropped in 2020. THE TOOTH punk their way through (mostly self-penned) Christmas songs, or should we say, instant classics. Yeah, they are loud. Yeah, they swear. Yeah, they care:
Merry Fucking Christmas/I really hope the next year is better/I hope that you don't die. I mean, how can you NOT love these bunch?!
They also wink to surf music, they don't shy away from a ballad and last year,
they rocked our Dutch dikes with the epic
Santa Claus, Santa Claus, 9 minutes long, with nods to heaven and hell, Vikings and Jesus. There were saxes and axes. I don't think we were the same after that song.
And now, THE TOOTH released a live album (not a double live album, alas), with a glorious version of what is now, officially I guess, the 'Santastic Bohemian Rhapsody'. Feast your ears, fellow TOOTHsmen:
