Cover Time: The Beach Boys - Santa's Beard
And then, there are loads of songs about Santa's Beard in general. That deserves it's own post too and also will be at the blog sometime next week.

Pulling Santa Claus's beard. Few children (and perhaps adults) haven't had that thought. And that's precisely what this 1964 Christmas classic by The Beach Boys is about. It's about a boy pulling Santa's beard in a department store.
Now first, here's the The Beach Boys original:
Shampoo Drive-Thru released a four track EP last november (Christmas Time in Shampooville), one of them is Santa's Beard. It's poppy synth-rock with a cool and cheerful Christmassy twist.
A close to the original, but notable cover by Blu Joy from Phoenix, Arizona. Great singing, a little doo-wop and sweet guitars. Good vibrations!
The 3wiseguy$ (what's in a name) from Dallas, Texas made this fancy kinda laid-back version with great organ, distorted guitar in the distance and the kid in question also speaks out.
Instrumental with an easy listening feel, this one by Husky Team from New York.
You want it more weird? Time for The Mustard Boys! "This track will take you on a slo-mo adventure to the heart of the Christmas experience, Mall Santa. What only took the Beach Boys 1:59 to convey, these Boys slather on for nearly four-and-a-half minutes with the help of their cousin Frenchie on jingle bells."
Just listen, you'll gonna love it.
Pep Talk from New York likes it a bit faster and are mixing Santa's Beard up with some other Christmas classics in a pop-punky way.
And let's slow down again a little with this one by Kris Kringle Soup. Bits of banjo, a touch of indie, packed in a really nice n' easy going country-esque song.
(And a lot of other Christmas cover joy to discover at the whole album!)
