THEME TIME: Christmas & Cocaine (1)

Ah yes, you didn't think we'd leave out the themed posts this season, now did you? If you're new to the blog; we do Theme Posts every now and then, examples are songs about Christmas and Hell (here), Christmas and Sex (here), Christmas and Animals (here) and Christmas and booze (here).

The latter theme had four parts, let's see how many tracks with the combination of Christmas and Colombian marching powder we'll, erm, sniff. The theme was suggested by mr Jim of Christmas Underground, by the way. Also: I left out the very obvious AI-made tracks.

I guess there's more, way more. So: get in touch in the comments if you know of more tracks in this theme.

Money from Manchester kicks off with the golden combination of coke on Christmas and alcohol to finish, and wrote a gorgeous pianoballad about it:

Let's get bluesy with this lot from Texas, where cocaine makes Santa stop by:

The tempo picks up a little more punky, inna Dead Boys style, with this loud track:

With it's Oi Oi Oi-choir, this is a fine singalong track about the other white snow:
Ian Bratschie tells the story about mom and dad, who had a sniff, and they everything got out of hand:

Cocaine, milk, cookies, lsd, this guy throws it all in the mix on an electronic beat:

Bluespunky, this is a great, very catchy song by The Dammit:

I don't want desert sand, no country roads, I want some coke!

Acoustic bliss, thick Manchester accent, a surprise meeting and a desire for nosecandy:
Slight variety, but thoughtful, this bluesguy bought crack cocaine for his baby for Christmas:
EXTRA EXTRA
The aforementioned mr Jim from Christmas Underground posted this track, called 'Snorting a line' from a Christmas EP by J. 'Christmas' Phillips. Can't say if the whole song is about taking drugs, or the effect cocaine has on celebrating Christmas, but it sure is a good song:

Also spotted first by Christmas Underground, this track by Canadian band Le Couleur, who sing about partying on Christmas, with 'snowballs, lined up on the mirrored table'. Hmmmmm....

Also a Christmas song that mentions cocaine in passing, is this track by former Babys-singer John Waite (the line is 'In the mercury night/The snow fell like cocaine'):

From a VERY cool single from 1997, by garage punk band The Dirtys:
