No one can be as alone at Christmas as Stippenlift, the alter-ego of singer and producer Hugo van de Poel and CAGG regular. It may, again, not be the most uplifting track of the season, on the other hand: self-pity can sometimes feel like a warm bath too. But whatever lies beneath, every Christmas he manages to deliver his great depressing Christmas single so convincingly that it makes the undercooled eighties synths glow warmly again.
