Christmas Contemplation with Laura Cannell

A genre that rarely appears on CAGG is electronic ambient. A highlight in this genre is the 13th album by English violinist Laura Cannell, titled 'Brightly Shone The Moon' (on Brawl Records). Laura Cannell, who grew up in rural Norfolk (UK), describes her own music as follows: “Christmas melodies disappear into densely packed woodland copses where half-remembered carols are played on the fiddle and the merry organ, but none are what they seem.” For example, in 'Angels Falling From The Realms' you can hear fragments of  'Angels We Have Heard on High'

Beautiful music for quiet, contemplative moments during the Christmas season.
