The Bluebirds

When it comes to Dutch additions to the grand Christmas repertoire, we're all ears when something new comes around. This is (as far as we know) the first original track by Holland's finest vocal country group, The Bluebirds. They've been around in various formations, these days it's Krystl, Leonie and Rachel Louise. Who, solo, released some seasonal songs too. We'll get to that.
The gorgeously sung Christmas Heart, with it's intentionally naive lyrics about setting the turkeys free and hoping for world peace, is co-written with help from Bertolf, the countryman from Zwolle, who also released wintery songs earlier. Like this one. And this one.
Currently, The Bluebirds are touring Dutch theatres with a Very Country Christmas show, playing the classics and no doubt their own track as well. That is out digital only, on Spotify and other platforms.
