Percussionist Cyril Neville was part of funk phenomenon The Meters, probably the greatest funk band in the world ever, and part of The Neville Brothers. With his 'Neville Family' he made a Christmas EP, that was just released. Can't find much background yet, but the steamin' New Orleans-funk styled 'Jingle Bells' is great, and so are the happy, funky, fairly traditional tracks. Not sure about that modern sounding track, tho.
