Amsterdam based independent Revanche Records released their first ever festive compilation 'Another Christmas Vol. 1'. Their young recording artists are one big family. On this 5 track, digital only, EP, the artists all do a cover. All the songs are basically quiet and acoustic. There's a beautiful piano version of 'The Christmas Song' (Mel Torme) from Hautefort, the alias from producer Ferry Lagendijk and member of Gare du Nord. My favorite is the Sufjan Stevens cover 'Christmas Unicorn', beatifully done by Syrus M. Schwartz, better known as (film)composer and Pim van de Werken.
