Amsterdam-based duo Sophie Janna and Margot Merah met years ago in the Irish pub Mulligans in Amsterdam. That sparked a musical collaboration; The Lasses. They made four albums with their special blend of Scottish, Irish and American folk repertoire and intimate self-penned songs.
They recorded an old Christmas gospel, that was conceived on a plantation in USA. In their own words: "We chose this song since it's not very famous in the Netherlands and it's a great one to sing at a concert, because everyone can join in easily."
