For a Christmas music blog, we tend to post about very few Christian rock artists. Gospel, sure, but folks like David Crowder, nah. No special reason, 'xcept maybe that evangelical politics make me cringe. But let's not get into that here. Crowder (also see his twitter account if you love dad jokes and memes about junk food) made a Christmas album with lots of praise, worship and glory (and a great Carol of the Bells version), plus a track about Mrs Claus. The Ballad of Mrs C. is a funny, well-written and well-executed rock track about Santa's wife being 'sick of the beard' and the both of 'm taking off to Mexico for New Year's Eve. I've added it to my playlist of Mrs Claus tracks, and this one really is one of the highlights.
