Alan Fears

If there's a theme to this year's Christmas songs, it's that the blue eyed soul-tracks stick out. There's The Grapes & Friends' Wishlist, BROS' It's Christmas Day and The Darcys Put Another Log on the Fire. And there's Alan Fears 'A Christmas Call'. The slow, spongey drums remind the listener of the bestest Al Green production, the curly bassline and the driving piano-melody all add to the (early) Mayer Hawthorne and (recent) Frazey Ford atmosphere. Love this. Really love this.
